At noon on Monday we received a call from Ottawa for a tent renal, some chairs and other things for delivery and set-up Tuesday in Vaughan near Kleinburg. This is our home turf. Of course we sent a quotation right away.

Just after 3:00 PM the call came back the we had the job. The would be just less than four working hours before the job needed to be completed. In fact we were all done at 10:03 Tuesday morning.

Noteworthy is the press tent. Being a Eureka twin tube it has a 20′ clear span offering no obstructions for the camera crews and reporters. Most tent rental companies supply the less expensive tents with 10′ spans between posts.

 

Everything was shipped clean but the construction site was dusty and dirty. As time was still available we were able to do finishing touches like washing muddy hand prints off Liviana  Fantino and Laureen Harper’s chair at the front and centre.

Each year ASAP Tent and Party Rentals is one of King Township event suppliers. As some know, King City is  home for “World Headquarters” at ASAP.

The local volunteer Fire Department, The Lions and a good collection of who’s who in King were on hand for the arrival of the PanAm, Para PanAm Torch Relay

ASAP also supplies the localBeerFest andSoupFest and Christmas Street Festival for the Township of King. Most people are unaware that our little Downtown King is about 20 miles from the CN Tower. From this location near the borders of Richmond Hill, Maple (Vaughan) and a highway 400 access close by we are able to serve much of Toronto and the GTA.

This photo is an excellent example of a very low cost method of tent decoration.

Of course the tent draping is done the ASAP Tent and Party Rental way. ASAP has developed a method of doing draping that looks and feels spectacular. Not only does the draping look good, it will look great even after someone accidentally turns on the lawn sprinklers.

The tent lighting is also proprietary to ASAP Tent and Party Rentals. As dusk falls, turn up the lights with the installed dimmer and hear the surprise from your guests. We call this the deluxe TDL lighting package. The acronym stands for track and dimmer lighting. This simple system is impressive, functional and simply reliable. Stage risers set-up as seated choral risers is a common request.

This configuration is done with 4′ X 8′ stage deck panels. The front riser is using two panels 4′ X 16′ X 8″ high. The rear panel is 4′ X 16′ X 18″ high. For larger groups we can make it longer and add a third tier at 24″. With these heights a gurd rail is added at the rear.

This setup was done at the Moonlight Event Centre for the annual seasonal party for the Four Seasons hotel chain head office.
