1st King
King City is a small, rural town of 3,500 people 10 miles north of, and overlooking Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We have one Beaver Colony, Cub Pack and Scout Troop. The majority of our Leaders are parents. Group Committee has several active members. In July we have an annual All Section summer camp at Camp Endobanah. We will a number of camps throughout the year at various locations and a "Spearhead" camp at Hiljack in April for Cubs and Scouts. Funndraising in King is done in the fall with a popcorn campaign and Scoutrees in the spring. Various activities are planned in each section. We enjoy each other's company, have a lot of fun together and are definitely "hooked on Scouting". We will update this page often, please drop us a line we would love to hear from you and of course to share ideas. The photo at the top right was taken in the morning at Endobanah. The second photo shows Digby, one of our leaders at camp. To hear the Seeonee Pack sing "This Is Just A Little Piece" or "We're From King City" click on the link. Have fun in Scouting.

LinksFirst on the WWW in November, 1994 1st King is the oldest surviving Scouting web page page in Canada. The second oldest Scouting web page in Canada and one of the very most popular in the world is this link, Worldwide Scouting Pen Pals. If this page could tell stories oh what stories it could tell. Canadian Scouting Links the third oldest, started life as a sub page out of necessity. At the time 1st King first went live on the web, it was difficult finding other Scouting pages as no search engines had any Scouting links. The InterNETional Scouting and Guiding Pages were the only other comprehensive link pages to be found. The fourth oldest web page in Canada started as a bulletin board and became the Humber Summit Area Web Site. This is mainly a large bulletin board with a large membership plus much more.
